• Widow/Divorcee with Children: If she has custody of the children, she can apply for residency for herself and her children within six months. She can become the sponsor for her children.
  In all cases, the woman must be inside the UAE at the time of application, and the late or former husband must have been a UAE citizen. The applicant must also meet conditions of financial solvency and have suitable housing. If there is a dispute over child custody, a special committee will make the final decision.
